Porritt Vase

$45.00

This vase originated as a fence post. All the old, weathered wood was turned away to reveal a beautiful grain structure in the Western red cedar. Numerous nail holes show evidence of its former life and add great character and interest to the piece. It was designed to hold a few dried flowers or grasses.

Height: 7”
Top Diameter: 7/8”
Maximum Diameter: 3”
Hole Opening: 3/8”

Jonathan Porritt is a British environmentalist, writer and campaigner for sustainable development. One of the key sustainability issues he has addressed is the mass production of palm oil, which drives the deforestation of rain forests. This leads to loss of biodiversity, climate-damaging emissions, soil erosion, flooding and human rights abuses by the production companies.
