Lovins Bowl
Made from willow, this bowl has its own natural decoration created by four knots from the juncture of other branches. A crack was stabilized and filled with crushed dark blue stones so it won’t expand further. The undulating edge follows the shape of the outer perimeter of the branch. An eye-catching accent piece, the bowl could also be used to serve snacks or treats.
Top Diameter: 5-3/4”
Bottom Diameter: 3”
Height: 3-1/4”
An American physicist and writer, Amory Lovins is also chairman of the Rocky Mountain Institute, fostering efficient energy use and sustainable development using ‘soft energy paths.’ Based on solar, wind, geothermal and biofuel, soft energy technologies are matched in scale to their task and are located in close proximity to where the energy will be used. Residential solar panels are a prime example of soft energy.
