Jones Rollerball Pen
The striking coloration on this pen was caused by the tree’s reaction to insect activity. Known as flaming box elder, the light wood is highlighted by streaks of pink with dark brown outlines. There are a few holes showing where the insects had penetrated the wood. The gold-plated hardware is magnetic, making for easy attachment of the cap to either end. The pen comes with an upgraded black rollerball cartridge for super smooth writing.
Closed Length: 5-1/4”
Open Length: 6-1/4” with cap attached to opposite end
Barrel Width: 1/2”
Phillip Jones is a British climatologist and professor. His specialty is paleoclimatology, the reconstruction of ancient climates for which no documented measurements exist. Learning about ancient climates can help us understand natural variation and the evolution of our current climate. He also maintains a detailed time series of modern, instrument-measured air and ocean temperatures.
